# 98.  ¿Se pueden usar Corticoides inhalados en pacientes COVID-19?

**No hay evidencia** acerca de los **efectos de los corticoides inhalados** (CI) en la infección respiratoria por **coronavirus** (187). Se **necesitan estudios de forma urgente** para evaluar su efecto. Por el momento, **no hay evidencia para retirar los CI** en pacientes estables (tanto asma como EPOC) que los tenían pautados previamente y se aconseja mantener el tratamiento. Se recomienda **ser prudente a la hora de iniciar CI en pacientes sin un claro diagnóstico de asma**. No hay evidencia que desaconseje aumentar la dosis de CI en pacientes con exacerbación por asma.
