# 89. ¿Kaletra sí o Kaletra no?

Se ha publicado en NEJM, un estudio realizado en China (170), en pacientes con neumopatía grave evolucionada (13 días). Es un ensayo clínico randomizado, con 100 pacientes en cada brazo estudiado, que compara el tratamiento con **Lopinavir/ritonavir** (Kaletra ®) vs **tratamiento estándar** (sin tratamiento potencialmente activo, únicamente tratamiento de soporte), concluyendo que **no hay diferencias estadísticamente significativas**; por lo que Kaletra no aportaría beneficio en este grupo de pacientes. El estudio sugiere, en el subanálisis, que Kaletra **pudiera aportar beneficio** si se iniciase de manera más **precoz**, o en asociación con otros fármacos, para lo cual **son precisos más estudios**.
