En otros brotes por virus de la familia SARS, **la Ig M tardó 3-6 días en aparecer y la Ig G tardó unos 8 días**. Se está probando un test rápido de diagnóstico mediante detección de Ig G e Ig M, en un estudio en 58 pacientes, se pudo detectar IgG+IgM en el 94% de pacientes (el test se hizo entre los días 8 y 33 del diagnóstico) (145).
