# 57. ¿Cuánto dura el SARS-CoV-2 en esputo y heces?

Chen et al hicieron un estudio (n:22) (119) en pacientes con PCR positiva para SARS-CoV-2 en exudado faríngeo. Se siguió la duración de la expresión del virus, una vez el exudado faríngeo era negativo. En ese caso (habiéndose negativizado la PCR faríngea), **si era posible encontrar el virus (mediante PCR) en heces durante 13 días y en esputo hasta 39 días desde el inicio de los síntomas.** La PCR en heces se positiviza 2-5 días más tarde que la PCR en el esputo (51).

En pacientes tratados con corticoides la PCR en heces aún tarda más en negativizarse (51).
